Exciting new work :)

The first quarter of 2025 has flown by, but it somehow seems like I’m not getting very far on the making front. Lots of ideas, not so much follow through at the moment, which never makes an artist happy…..but I have managed to complete some new work and one-of-a -kind pieces. I’m trying to focus on a relatively new series of work- it’s a bit more sculptural than some of my other work, which is fun for me, and I’m using more stones. Here are a couple of the pieces that I’ve finished - they’re available for sale, either through me, or at the Jewel Envy Studio.

Sterling Silver, tourmalinated quartz, cast and fabricated

Red blood cells don’t have a nucleus giving them a characteristic “donut” look. I love the way I can give an impression of movement to the pile of cells, and I’m enjoying incorporating some new and unusal (for me at least) stones.

These delicate earrings have a pleasing pop of blue (my favourite colour!), and are lovely and light on the ear.

What’s your favourite stone? I have a number of pieces in the works, and and I think I’ll be working on this series for a while!
